Inp.polri.go.id - Cirebon.  The Cirebon Sub-regional Police have arrested three of four suspects in the abduction of an elementary school teacher in Susukan, Cirebon Regency, West Java, officials said on Thursday (29/5/2025).

“We have arrested three suspects today. One, identified as M, is being pursued,” said Cirebon Police Criminal Investigation Unit Chief Assistant Senior Inspector I Putu Ika Prabawa, as quoted by antara news.com.

The suspects—identified by initials WB, R, and INM—allegedly abducted the teacher from school on 24 May 2025 over a personal dispute. The victim was taken to Indramayu, where they were held and assaulted before managing to escape.

The case gained public attention after videos of the abuse circulated on social media. Police launched an investigation based on the victim’s report.

All three suspects are being held and charged under Article 328 of the Criminal Code for unlawful deprivation of liberty, which carries a maximum sentence of 12 years. Police are continuing the investigation and searching for the remaining suspect.
