inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Head of the Indonesian National Police (INP) Traffic Corps, Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho, reiterated the ban on the operation of three-axle vehicles, which remains in effect until Sunday (3/29/2026).
This ban, as stipulated in a joint decree (SKB), prohibits the operation of heavy vehicles with three or more axles from March 13 to March 29, 2026, during the Eid al-Fitr homecoming period.
"On the orders of the Chief of Police, we urge three-axle logistics operators to refrain from operating," explained Agus.
According to him, the police operation priority is still for people returning home after their Eid al-Fitr homecoming. Sunday marks the peak of the second wave of the Eid al-Fitr homecoming traffic since Saturday (3/28/2026).
"Because we must prioritize the people who are on vacation and returning home, ensuring a safe and smooth road, in line with the Chief of Police's direction," he said.
He said that the continued ban on three-axle vehicles today is expected to support the smooth flow of the homecoming traffic. Because, as of Friday (March 27, 2026), approximately 36 percent of travelers have yet to return.
