Inp.polri.go.id – Lampung. Lampung Police states three of four identified mutilated bodies have finally been identified. The bodies have successfully identified after comparison of seven DNA samples and bone samples. The Chief of Lampung Police Medical Unit, Grand Commissioner Mardi Sudarman reveals the three identified victims are Kayim, Agus Sudanto, and Kasdi. “While the other one left is still unidentified due to no match with the existing DNA sample,” says Sudarman during press conference on Wednesday (10/18/2023). He then adds that the disembodiment of the bodies are because they were consumed by animals. This statement was based on findings that the cell in the bodies indicates no mutilation has happened. Moreover, Police Lampung Public Relations Chief, Umi Fadilah Astutik states that Water and Air Police Directorate of Metro Jaya Police on August 27th received reports of ship accident. After police examine the statement of the ship owner, police tried to link the case to the findings of the four bodies. It was later found out that the victims are the crews of Bintang Mutiara Jaya ship who were sailed to catch squids on August 21st, says Umi. The ship sailed from Muara Angke Port, North Jakarta to Kalimantan, but sank in Cirebon after hit by massive storm. “From the 12 crewmates, only four survived,” she said. (ad/ay/pr/nm)
