inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Three personnel from Wulanggitang Sector Police showed their best dedication as humanitarian volunteers in helping the people affected by Lewotobi Laki-Laki Mountain eruption.
Since the first eruption in 2023 to July 2025, the volcanic activity of Lewotobi Laki-Laki Mountain is still fluctuating.
In this situation, the three members of Wulanggitang Sector Police, Paulus Bura Hadjon, Semarno Nenotek, and Hardiman, were going to the field to provide direct support for the people.
They were actively involved in spraying and cleaning houses and roads covered in volcanic ash. Even when another eruption occurred on July 7, 2025, at around 11:05 a.m. WITA (Central Indonesian Time), these officers remained present among the community to provide assistance.
The dedication of these three police officers remained undiminished even though the Wulanggitang Sector Police dormitory where they lived was also affected by the eruption. The building was damaged and no longer habitable, but the spirit of service remained strong.
Their selfless attitude embodies the motto "Polri for the Community," which continues to live on in concrete actions amidst the crisis.
