Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Commander of the Indonesian Military (TNI), General Agus Subiyanto, clarified that the "Siaga 1" highest alert status recently implemented across several units serves as a standard readiness evaluation for the Disaster Relief Rapid Response Force.
"I have implemented the highest alert status within units such as the Disaster Relief Rapid Response Force, where each regional military command prepares one battalion for standby at the State Palace, particularly for regions prone to natural disasters," he said, as cited by antaranews.com on Tuesday night (10/3/2026).
The operation involved a tactical vehicle simulation at the National Monument square in Jakarta to measure troop mobilization speeds and response times. This exercise ensures that military assets can be deployed rapidly to maintain national stability and support civil authorities during domestic emergencies.
Commander Agus added that the heightened readiness also aims to bolster security coordination with the Indonesian National Police (INP) ahead of the Eid al-Fitr holiday.
