Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs repatriated 22 Indonesian citizens from Iran on Tuesday afternoon (10/3/2026), marking the arrival of the first evacuation wave at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport.
"Day by day, hour by hour, we conduct assessments of the situation and endeavor to encourage Indonesian citizens to be repatriated," Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono, as quoted by antaranews.com.
He confirmed that the group traveled via Baku, Azerbaijan, amid escalating regional tensions.
The government continues to monitor the safety of Indonesians in conflict zones, with a second wave of 36 citizens currently registered for upcoming repatriation flights as part of a coordinated emergency response.
