Inp.polri.go.id - Jember. The Indonesian National Police (INP)s Traffic Corps has deployed a joint investigation team with East Java Regional Police and Probolinggo Sub-regonal Police to determine the cause of a deadly crash on the Bromo mountain route that killed eight people.

“We visited the crash site in Boto Village, Lumbang District. A Traffic Corps team will collaborate with East Java Police and Probolinggo Police,” said Brigadier General Faizal, the Traffic Corp’’ Director of Law Enforcement, on Monday (15/9/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.

Investigators brought specialized equipment, including a 3D Traffic Accident Analyzer, radar systems, and drones, to reconstruct the accident.

“This technology will help determine the vehicle’s position before, during, and after the crash,”Chief Faizal explained.

The police are also taking testimony from survivors and plan to consult technical experts from vehicle manufacturers Hino and Isuzu. A Focus Group Discussion (FGD) will further assess findings, with results expected to identify vehicle speed, causes, and responsibility.
