Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. President Prabowo Subianto has approved a sweeping economic stimulus package dubbed the “8+4+5” program, unveiled after a high-level meeting at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta on Monday (15/9/2025).
“The government is releasing the 2025 economic stimulus package, consisting of 8 acceleration programs this year, 4 programs extended into 2026, and 5 job-creation initiatives,” Cabinet Secretary Lieutenant Colonel Teddy Indra Wijaya confirmed, as reported by antaranews.com.
The eight measures for 2025 include graduate internship schemes, income tax (PPh 21) relief for tourism workers, food aid, insurance discounts for gig economy workers, housing benefits, cash-for-work programs, deregulation efforts, and an urban pilot project in Jakarta.
The four programs extended into 2026 cover extended tax relief and social security discounts for MSMEs and labor-intensive industries. Meanwhile, the five job-creation measures focus on rural cooperatives, replanting projects, coastal community development, aquaculture revitalization, and fishing vessel modernization.
Officials said the package is designed to accelerate growth, stabilize household spending, and absorb labor nationwide.
