Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National POlice (INP)’s Traffic Corps will prioritize a human-centered approach during the nationwide Operation Path 2026, held from 8 to 21 June 8 to 2026.
Head of Traffic Corps Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho explained that this year’s operation focuses on raising public awareness about traffic safety.
“Operation Patuh 2026 must be different. People should obey not out of fear, but from awareness of safety and order,” he said on Wednesday (3/6/2026).
While education and outreach are emphasized, law enforcement remains part of the strategy. The operation targets reducing traffic violations, accidents, and fatalities. Activities are divided into 20 percent educational (preemptive), 30 percent preventive, and 50 percent enforcement.
Chief Agus said that the ultimate goal is safer roads and fewer casualties.
“We hope this operation increases compliance and reduces accidents,” he added.
