Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Head of the Indonesian National Police (INP) Traffic Corps, Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho, reported significant density across Indonesia's primary artery roads on Saturday night, marking the peak of the second wave of the 2026 Eid return flow.

"Artery roads are quite crowded, but we have managed the flow effectively. Regional police chiefs and local traffic units are out in full force to manage the Northern Coast and Southern Coast routes," he said at the kilometer 62 rest area of the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road, as cited by antaranews.com.

While arterial routes remained packed with motorcyclists and local travelers, traffic on the Trans-Java Toll Road was regulated using a single-lane contraflow system from kilometer 70 to kilometer 55.

Chief Agus noted that major tourist destinations have seen a decrease in visitors as the holiday period winds down. Under the direct orders of the INP Chief, officers are currently executing "Enhanced Routine Activities" (KRYD) following the conclusion of Operation Ketupat 2026 to ensure the remaining travelers return to the capital safely.
