Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Traffic Corps is preparing a large-scale “Christmas and New Year Operation”, known locally as Operasi Nataru, to ensure security, order, and smooth traffic nationwide during the 2025–2026 holiday season.
The operation will follow the annual Operation Zebra, focusing on public safety and the prevention of illegal street racing.
“We are preparing the Christmas and New Year Operation, and before that, Operation Zebra will emphasize traffic safety and order,” said Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho, the Head of the Traffic Corps, on Thursday (6/11/2025), as reported by antaranews.com.
He said the current stage involves coordination with multiple stakeholders to finalize security and traffic management scenarios for both holidays.
Meanwhile, the government has announced a package of incentives, including toll fee discounts, airfare and ferry ticket reductions, and VAT relief, to support safe and efficient holiday travel for millions of Indonesians expected to hit the roads.
