Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) have uncovered a major tax evasion scheme involving crude palm oil (CPO) derivatives disguised as fatty matter exports, following President Prabowo Subianto’s directive to curb state revenue losses.
“The President wants state revenue to be fully optimized. By uncovering this scheme, we prevent future leakage and ensure funds can be used for national development programs,” said INP Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo during a press briefing in North Jakarta on Thursday (6/11/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.
The Special Task Force for State Revenue Optimization, in cooperation with the Customs and Tax Directorates, seized 87 containers linked to PT MMS, which exported fatty matter to China to avoid export duties.
Lab tests confirmed the substance contained CPO derivatives, which are taxable. Police are now investigating other companies potentially using similar tactics to evade export levies.
