The Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police Traffic Directorate has prepared measures to regulate traffic flow around the Indonesian Parliament Building on Thursday (8/27/2026). Traffic engineering will be implemented situationally, taking into account evolving conditions on the ground and public movement.

Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police Traffic Director, Senior Superintendent Firman Darmansyah, stated that traffic engineering will not be implemented comprehensively, but will only be implemented when conditions on the ground require traffic management or diversion.

"If traffic conditions are smooth, we will not divert traffic," said Firman.

He explained that if the situation requires diversion at certain points, personnel are prepared to be on-site to provide guidance and direction to the public and road users.

"However, if diversions are necessary at certain points, we will ensure that officers are already at those points to provide guidance and direction," he said.

Firman emphasized that, in general, the security and public order situation in the Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police jurisdiction, as of Thursday (8/27/2026), remains safe and conducive.
