Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. In an effort to promote traffic safety awareness, the West Jakarta Sub-regional Police conducted briefed 430 students at Baitul Muttaqin Islamic boarding school on Sunday (21/1/2024).
The educational program focused on imparting essential knowledge about traffic safety, including understanding traffic signs, traffic etiquette, and safe driving procedures.
The Traffic Chief of the West Jakarta Police, Assistant Superintendent Ridha Aditya, emphasized the crucial role of millennials in fostering orderly and safe traffic conditions, antaranews.com reported.
"The aim is to instill a sense of responsibility among millennials to contribute to organized and safe traffic. We encourage them to become pioneers in promoting traffic safety," he said.
The police hoped that participants will emerge as agents of change in society, actively practicing and promoting traffic safety. The goal is for these individuals to serve as frontline defenders against juvenile delinquency and various social issues that pose a threat.
In addition to traffic safety, the police also provided information on preventing juvenile delinquency, addressing issues such as bullying, intolerance, drug abuse, and sexual harassment.
