Tragic Gas Station Wall Collapse Claims Family of Three in Tebet

Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. A tragic incident unfolded as the wall of a Pertamina Gas Station  on Prof. Dr. Soepomo road in West Tebet, South Jakarta, collapsed, claiming three lives on Sunday afternoon (21/1/2024)
The victims were identified as a family consisting of father Sumedi Riyanto (80), mother Thio Tjnnio (74) and  daughter Ami Kusuma Dewi (35).  The accident also severely injured Ami's 8-year-old son, Muhammad Fabian, antaranews.com reported. "The victims were a husband and wife who operated a stall next to the wall. Their daughter and grandson were visiting the stall," said Syamsul Huda, the Head of the South Jakarta Fire and Rescue Sub-agency. He said that the cracked gas station wall, measuring 30 x 6 meters, collapsed after strong winds. The three deceased victims have been transported to RSCM for autopsy.  Their bodies were slated to be buried at Menteng Pulo grave.  Fabian is now under the medical care of Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital. The incident site is under an investigation by the the Forensic Identification  (Inafis) Team from the Jakarta Police.
