inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of Transportation Dudy Purwagandhi ensured smooth logistics distribution during the 2026 Eid al-Fitr holiday season by strengthening cross-sector coordination and operational oversight to maintain public supplies.
Dudy stated that to achieve this, his ministry has coordinated with Minister of Trade Budi Santoso to ensure smooth logistics distribution by controlling traffic on the homecoming routes during the Eid al-Fitr holiday season.
"This cooperation is being implemented to ensure safe public mobility without disrupting the distribution of goods and the stability of the supply of basic necessities," said Dudy on Wednesday (2/25/2026).
He explained that the cross-ministerial coordination focuses on regulating freight transport operations during the homecoming and return flows, as well as regulating overflow markets along the Eid homecoming routes.
He stated that these measures are part of the national policy to anticipate the surge in public movement that occurs every Eid al-Fitr. Based on survey results, the estimated number of people moving during the Eid al-Fitr holiday period is approximately 143.91 million.
The Minister of Transportation emphasized that limiting freight vehicles is a crucial step to maintain optimal road capacity so that the homecoming traffic can proceed smoothly and safely.
"Regulations regarding freight transportation will be implemented selectively, taking into account safety and the smooth distribution of logistics," said the Minister.
The government has established regulations through a Joint Decree (SKB) from the Ministry of Transportation, the National Police Traffic Corps (Korlantas Polri), and the Ministry of Public Works concerning traffic management and crossings during the 2026 Eid al-Fitr holiday period.
