inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of Manpower Yassierli stated that the payment of holiday allowances from companies to workers still follows the old regulation, which stipulated that the payment must be made no later than seven days before Eid al-Fitr (D-7).

"The obligation is still D-7 like the previous year," said Yassierli on Wednesday (2/25/2026).

He further stated that the Ministry of Manpower is currently coordinating with the Ministry of State Secretariat regarding the issuance of a circular regarding the implementation of THR payments for workers.

Yassierli emphasized that providing THR to workers is an obligation for companies. This is in accordance with Government Regulation Number 36 of 2021 and Minister of Manpower Regulation Number 6 of 2016, which regulate wage policies in Indonesia and religious holiday allowances for workers in companies.

Article 2 Paragraph (1) of Minister of Manpower Regulation Number 6 of 2016 states that employers are required to provide religious holiday allowances (THR) to workers who have worked continuously for one month or more.

"Regulations already apply regarding THR. Failure to pay THR will, of course, result in sanctions," said the Minister of Manpower.
