The Indonesian Transportation Ministry says that as of now, there are 1.26 million people have bought the ticket for the 2024 homecoming season. “1.26 million people had bought the train ticket from the total 5.27 total capacities that we prepared,” says the General Director of Train Affairs, M Risal Wasal in an online press conference on Sunday (3/17/2024). Explained by the director, this year there would be 3.2 million passengers that will going around the city by train. Meanwhile, the regional train cities estimated to carry around 2.69 million passengers. According to the Transportation Ministry survey, travelers peak would be on D-4 of Eid Al-Fitr, while on the return flow would be on D+3 of Eid Al-Fitr. “It brings the total travelers flow on the homecoming season to 33.72 million,” said M.
