Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Immigration Office authorities denied entry to two Chinese citizens  after they were caught stealing from a Malaysian passenger during a flight from Singapore to Jakarta.

The incident occurred on Scoot Airlines TR-268 on Thursday, before landing at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Tangerang.

“They stole SGD 750 in cash and three debit cards belonging to a Malaysian passenger,” said Patuanta Agum Gumilang Rambe, the Head of Examination Section I at Soekarno-Hatta Immigration, on Friday (3/10/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.

The theft was reported mid-flight and forwarded to airport security and police. Upon landing, the two men, identified as JW (39) and BR (49), were detained by Soekarno-Hatta Police and taken for questioning. They later returned the stolen items, and the victim chose not to pursue charges.

However, immigration denied both men entry, stamping “denied entry” in their passports. Scoot Airlines was instructed to return them to Singapore on flight TR-279.
