Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Two Indonesians lost their lives in a fire at an apartment building in Hong Kong's Kowloon District on Wednesday.
The Indonesian Consulate General in Hong Kong confirmed on Friday (12/4/2024) the deaths of a man and a woman, both employed in the hospitality sector at the Ritz Carlton Hong Kong.
The fire incident claimed a total of five lives and left approximately 43 others injured, as reported by antaranews.com.
While the cause of the fire remains under investigation by local authorities, the Consulate General coordinated with the police and assisted the families of the victims, including facilitating the repatriation of their remains and ensuring their rights are met.
