Heavy machinery like excavators and loaders were deployed for this purpose. While motorcycles could still traverse the area, additional equipment was brought in to aid in debris removal.
Motorists were urged to be cautious, and traffic signs were installed. The initial landslide occurred early Thursday, blocking the national road connecting Putussibau to the border.
Residents were advised to remain vigilant due to potential subsequent landslides amid heavy rainfall.
