inp.polri.go.id - South Lampung. The South Lampung Sub-regional Police are continuing to investigate a firearms possession case uncovered in the Kalianda area. As part of this investigation, police have moved to Jakarta and arrested two individuals in an apartment in Kemayoran, Central Jakarta.

South Lampung Sub-regional Police Criminal Investigation Unit Head, Police Senior Inspector Stefanus Reinaldo Fajar Nuswantoro Boyoh, stated that the two individuals arrested were RRS (35), a resident of Lubuk Linggau, and IH (38), a resident of Rupit, North Musi Rawas Regency.

"We also secured a Glock and 33 rounds of 7.65/32 mm ammunition, as well as four other individuals for questioning," he said in Kalianda on Monday (10/5/2026).

He explained that the investigation into the case began after police uncovered an AR-15 firearm found inside a Toyota Innova Zenix in the Kalianda area, South Lampung.

The investigation began when officers conducted a vehicle inspection at the entrance to Bakauheni Port. However, a man who was being questioned fled.

Officers then conducted an investigation and found a vehicle suspected of being linked to the man at a homestay on the Trans-Sumatra Highway in Way Urang Village, Kalianda District, on Thursday (10/1/2026).

The man, identified as DS (31), fled again when they attempted to apprehend him. After conducting a search, police found DS hiding in the attic of the teachers' room.

A search of the vehicle revealed a special weapons bag containing an AR-15 and a magazine containing 15 rounds of ammunition.

Police then expanded their investigation to Jakarta. As a result, RRS and IH were arrested at the Graha Cempaka Mas Apartments in Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, on Friday (10/2/2026).

As the investigation progressed, IH was named a suspect in the AR-15 firearm possession case. The weapon was allegedly used as collateral for a friend's debt, while DS allegedly took the weapon for servicing.

Meanwhile, RRS has been named a suspect in a case of possession of the narcotic etomidate, which was discovered during the initial investigation.

While apprehending RRS in Jakarta, police also found a Glock firearm and 33 rounds of 7.65/32 mm ammunition. According to police, the weapon was recognized as belonging to RRS and he had a valid ownership permit.
