Inp.polri.go.id – North Kolaka. The Drug Criminal Investigation of North Kolaka Police have arrested two methamphetamine smugglers in Ponggiha Village, Lasusua. The two suspects are RE (17) and NA (21) with the evidence of 96 grams of methamphetamine.
The illicit drugs were initially about to be delivered to Bombana Regency.
North Kolaka Police Chief, Police Grand Commissioner Adjutant Arif Irawan explains the arrest begins with the information from the public. The report states that there would be a drug transaction in Lasusua regency.
“After receiving the report, teams from Drug Criminal Investigation of North Kolaka Police begins their investigation. Around 12:30, police then arrest NA,” says Arif.
Police Chief says during the arrest of NA, officials found suspicious items, which was later found out to be the drugs owned by RE.
“RE was in Watuliwu Village, Lasusua and he was immediately arrested. During the examination, RE found to possess two bags of methamphetamine weighing 96 grams,” adds Arif.
The suspect reveals that the two bags were about to be delivered to Bombana regency. Other than the drugs, police also confiscate 2 rolls of black tapes, 2 sheets of tissue and 2 cellphones. The two are now secured at North Kolaka Police HQ.
