inp.polri.go.id - Jayapura. Head of the Damai Cartenz Public Relations Task Force Senior Superintendent Yusuf Sutejo revealed that the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) members who shot two mobile brigade personnel in Mulia, Puncak Jaya Regency, Central Papua, were the Ternus Enumbi group.
The shooting occurred on Thursday (5/15/2025) afternoon around Usir village, Mulia District.
"The two victims are Dedi Tambunan and Raymon Rerey," said Yusuf when contacted from Jayapura, Friday (5/16/2025) morning.
Yusuf said that the shooting occurred when the two victims were riding a motorbike around Usir village.
According to police investigation, there was a shootout because people in Usir Village heard the sound of gunfire during the shooting incident.
"Both personnel were pronounced dead shortly after arriving at Mulia Hospital," said Yusuf.
It was revealed that the shooter was riding a motorbike that allegedly belonged to the younger sibling of KKB member Bumiwolo.
Previously, a KKB member named Bumi Wolo Enumbi was killed when Indonesian military soldiers took action in Kalome Village, Ilamobrawi, Puncak Jaya Regency, Central Papua, Saturday (5/10/2025).
The joint forces are currently conducting searches and pursuits around the area.
Yusuf hopes that the public will remain calm and not be easily provoked and support law enforcement efforts.
