Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo and the Indonesian Military Force (TNI) Commander, General Agus Subiyanto patrol by helicopter towards Gilimanuk Port on Thursday (4/4/2024).
The air patrol in Gilimanuk Port was conducted to review the preparation of the port ahead of the 2024 homecoming season. On their way to the port, they also monitored the traffic situation around the area.
Later on, the two chiefs will directly inspect the port to further ensure its preparation and service for the 2024 homecoming season.
Previously, Sigit emphasized that his party and TNI continues to prepare various strategies to realize a safe homecoming for the people. One of the efforts is by evaluating the traffic records of 2023 homecoming flow, to further enhance their strategy at the field.
“There are several notes that come to our attention and we aim to further enhance it in the 2024 Ketupat Operation,” said the INP Chief.
Other than evaluating, Sigit says that the upcoming schedule for them is to review the location of return flow via land, air, and sea. The step is to directly review what must be prepared and improved in welcoming the upcoming huge traffic flow.
“We will review the roads in Central Java, West Java, East Java, and Bali. This is to make sure the preparation for this year’s homecoming flow is good and accordingly,” conclude the police chief.
