inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Vice Minister of Health, Dante Saksono Harbuwono, stated that the government continues to accelerate the digital transformation of the national health sector.

The use of artificial intelligence (AI) is a crucial part of integrating services into the Satu Sehat platform, accelerating disease detection.

"To integrate the systems to Satu Sehat, we will continue to simplify existing platforms in Indonesia. This system integration aims to provide integrated health data across all service facilities," said Vice Minister Dante on Tuesday (10/14/2025).

He noted that the use of AI in the healthcare sector has shown significant results. An example is the implementation of a portable X-ray-based tuberculosis detection device connected to AI.

"We have a portable tuberculosis device that we send to community health centers (Puskesmas). The portable X-ray scanner is connected to AI. So, X-rays don't need to be read by a radiologist, but by a general practitioner, because they are equipped with AI," explained Dante.

He continued that this innovation allows for faster and more accurate diagnoses in various regions of Indonesia. AI technology is also considered capable of bridging the gap between medical resources in remote areas.

Erick Darmawan, Corporate Finance Leader at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) Indonesia, believes AI has become a key pillar of healthcare transformation. 

"PwC views AI and digital transformation as key users across the six pillars of healthcare transformation," he said.

Erick stated that AI is now shaping new ways of providing healthcare services and care. He explained that this technology enables faster investigations at minimal cost.

He believes Indonesia can introduce innovations in healthcare that are more efficient and accessible. 

"We are committed to delivering innovation so that the future of healthcare becomes more accessible and impactful for everyone," he said.
