Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. A viral Facebook post claiming a police officer went missing for a month in October 2026 is false and misleading.

Fact-check investigations revealed that the link provided in the post directed users to an e-commerce website rather than a news report.

Furthermore, the photo used in the post was identified as an image from 2019 depicting Second Bhayangkara Aldy, a Mobile Brigade (Brimob) officer who died during an armed clash with an armed criminal group (KKB) in Mugi, Nduga Regency, on 20 March 2019.

Authorities confirmed there are no records indicating the officer was missing for a month, as falsely claimed online.
