Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. A viral YouTube video claiming President Prabowo Subianto officially dissolved the Directorate General of Customs and Excise is entirely false. The hoax video also falsely alleged that newly appointed Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhihi dismissed all export mafias within the institution.

According to a fact-check investigation by turnbackhoax.id, the video misconstrued an official address delivered by Minister Purbaya at the State Palace on 12 June 2026.

"President Prabowo previously considered dissolving the customs bureau, but the plan was ultimately canceled as the President observed significant institutional improvements," Minister Purbaya said during the original broadcast.

The authorities have urged the public to remain vigilant against disinformation and to verify any sensitive information regarding government institutions through official channels before sharing it on social media.
