While providing strategic guidance virtually at the PPIDK Middle East Cadre School on Friday (6/19/2026), Eddy stated that the young generation is a national asset that must possess integrity, national insight, and love for the homeland.

"We hope they will become agents of change in preventing the spread of violent ideologies," Eddy stated, as confirmed in Jakarta on Wednesday (6/24/2026).

Eddy warned that the current global geopolitical dynamics are evolving rapidly and have a direct impact on economic stability, politics, and global security.

According to him, one phenomenon that has received serious attention from the BNPT and its partner countries is the shifting epicenter of global terrorism.

He stated that terrorism, which was once centered in the Middle East, has now shifted to the Middle East and North Africa.

"Although their organizational structure has weakened, in terms of ideology and influence, terrorism remains a real threat," he said.

Eddy explained that current terrorist networks are characterized by resilience and adaptability because they utilize developments in digital technology to spread propaganda, recruit members, and build influence across borders.
