Inp.polri.go.id - Way Kanan. The Public Patrol and Safeguarding Unit (Samapta) of the Way Kanan Sub-regional Police distributed clean water to drought-affected residents in Blambangan Umpu Sub-district, Way Kanan Regency, Lampung, on Tuesday (8/9/2026).

Led by Way Kanan Police Samapta Unit Head Assistant Senior Inspector M. Afandi alongside Samapta Operational KBO Second Inspector Juarta, officers delivered water supplies directly to households facing severe shortages due to the prolonged dry season.

Representing Way Kanan Police Chief Superintendent Ramadhona, Head of Public Relations Unit First Inspector Edi Tamizar said that the humanitarian drive demonstrates the police force's commitment to easing community burdens during environmental crises.

"This water distribution reflects the police’s active presence in addressing basic community needs during severe drought while reinforcing public security and order," he noted.

Local residents welcomed the direct water aid to sustain their daily household needs, with police reminding the public to maintain regional security and social harmony amid challenging weather conditions.
