Inp.polri.go.id - Bandung. The West Java Regional Police are intensifying their efforts to manage the aftermath of a tornado disaster in Ranca Ekek and nearby areas, following the incident that occurred yesterday.
Police Senior Superintendent Jules A Abast, Head of the West Java Regional Police's Public Relations, stated on Thursday (22/2/2024) that Mobile Brigade (Brimob) personnel have been assisting in evacuations since then, with joint teams persisting in their efforts due to extensive damage,
"184 personnel, comprising 17 from West Java Regional Police's Brimob Unit, 127 from Sumedang Sub-Regional Police, along with personnel from the Infantry Battalion and the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), were deployed," he said.
Meanwhile, Police First Inspector Awang Munggardijaya, Head of Sumedang Sub-Regional Police's Public Relations, reported that joint monitoring posts have been established in four villages, namely Cintamulya, Sayang, Mangunarga, and Sukadana.
"Tents have been arranged in Mangunarga Village," he added.
