Inp.polri.go.id - Bandung. West Java Regional Police have arrested YouTuber Adimas Firdaus, widely known as Resbob, over alleged hate speech targeting the Sundanese community and supporters of soccer club Persib Bandung, authorities said on Monday (15/12/2025). 

The arrest was done after public complaints over social media content suspected of violating Indonesia’s Electronic Information and Transactions Law (ITE Law).

“The suspect has been secured in East Java and brought to Jakarta for initial questioning,” West Java Police Head of Public Relations Senior Superintendent Hendra Rochmawan said, as cited by antaranews.com.

Resbob will be transferred to Bandung for further investigation by cybercrime investigators. Police said the case stems from reports filed by Persib supporter groups and Sundanese community representatives, citing content deemed insulting and discriminatory.

Investigators allege the content may breach the ITE Law, which regulates hate speech based on ethnicity, religion, race, and intergroup relations.

If convicted, the suspect faces up to six years in prison and/or a fine of up to Rp1 billion.
