Inp.polri.go.id - Bandung. The West Java Regional Police’s Traffic Directorate has initiated simulation drills and prepared strategic traffic engineering schemes for the Trans-Java Toll Road to anticipate the 2026 Eid Al-Fitri homecoming holiday, known locally as mudik.
Director of Traffic, Senior Superintendent Raydian Kokrosono, confirmed on Thursday (5/3/2026) that six to seven local police resorts are collaborating to manage the surge of travelers.
"We have formed a coordinated regional unit to execute traffic engineering along the Trans-Java Toll, ensuring all personnel are ready for the peak flow," he said, as cited by antaranews.com
The tactical scenarios focus on the critical stretch between kilometer 47 and kilometer 70. Police plan to implement gradual contra-flow measures and partial one-way systems stretching toward Pejagan if vehicle volume spikes significantly. Kokrosono emphasized that all maneuvers will strictly follow the Traffic Corps ( directives.
Beyond the highways, authorities are also bracing for congestion on the Puncak tourist route and the southern Priangan arterial roads, deploying extra units to maintain mobility during Indonesia's largest annual migration.
