Inp.polri.go.id - Bandung. West Java Regional Police have launched an investigation into alleged hate speech by YouTuber Resbob, also known as Adimas Firdaus, following public reports that his online content insulted Sundanese communities and Persib Bandung soccer club supporters.
The case emerged after a YouTube broadcast went viral and triggered public outrage in West Java.
“We have profiled the account and initiated an investigation into the alleged hate speech targeting Viking supporters and West Java residents,” said West Java Police Head of Public Relations Senior Superintendent Hendra Rochmawan on Friday (12/12/2025), as cited by antaranews.com.
Police are analyzing digital evidence, collecting witness statements, and awaiting a formal police report to strengthen the legal process. Authorities emphasized that the probe is focused on determining whether the content violates Indonesia’s hate speech and other related-laws.
West Java officials urged the public to remain calm and avoid generalizing entire communities based on one individual’s actions, while supporting firm law enforcement to prevent social division.
