West Java Police Secured 11 Suspects of the Abuse of Subsidized LPG

inp.polri.go.id – The West Java Police Ditreskrimsus succeeded in uncovering the abuse of subsidized LPG in Paotok Beusi, Subang Regency, West Java. A total of 11 perpetrators were arrested by the police, each with the initials of TAJ, M, DS, AA, HRD, LK, FY, N, UIE, WM, and TS. Head of Public Relations of the West Java Police, Police Commissioner Ibrahim Tompo, explained that the 11 suspects who had been arrested were divided into three groups in accordance with their respective roles, starting from investors, LPG providers, and field workers. "We divide the perpetrators into three clusters. First there is financiers or those who have money that runs this illegal activity. Two, there is LPG providers, in0 this case are elements of the SPBE, and lastly the transporter and field workers who we arrested at the location," said Police Commissioner Ibrahim Tompo at the West Java Police Headquarters, Monday (25/07/22). According to the West Java Regional Police Intermediate Officer, this case was indeed involved people. So he continued to develop the case, until he finally arrest these 11 suspects. “This is a big syndicate that involves many people. Now we have secured 11 people from different locations,” told Commissioner Ibrahim in media conference. He stated this syndicate does not only caused the loss of the state, but also the surrounding community, due to their questionable safety standards in doing their operation. “We managed to save the state loss from losing around Rp9 Billion. We will charged the perpetrators with various applicable laws, including the oil and gas law, the consumer protection law, with each maximum penalty of five years in prison to 6 years in prison, "explained Police Commissioner Arif Rachman Police officers secured a number of evidences, such as two red tanks of LPG with a capacity of 20 thousand kilograms and 15 thousand kilograms, three large hoses, two digital weighing units, an Alkon machine, and 64 of 50 kilograms LPG gas cylinders.
