Arriving at the location, the Chief of Regional Police and his entourage immediately visited the Garut Police Disaster Command Post in Cinta Village; Karang Tengan reviews the readiness of the soup kitchen. Furthermore, the West Java Regional Police Chief saw the broken bridge hit by the flash flood. The bridge is accessible to residents of two villages, namely Cileles and Bojongsari villages, Cinta Village and Jungre Village, Caringin Village, Karang Tengah District. The West Java Regional Police Chief said that currently, we and our entourage are reviewing the location of the Banjir Bandang in Cinta Village, and of course, also looking at the preparedness of the personnel at the location of the banjir bandang disaster, facilities and infrastructure for refugees affected by the banjir floodwaters, also reviewing the shared kitchen. This is done because it wants to ensure that disaster management runs smoothly and logistics supplies are safe. In addition, the Garut Resort Police Chief also added that this flash flood occurred due to the high intensity of rain from noon to the afternoon, which caused the river in Karang Tengah District to overflow. This flash flood hit three villages in Karang Tengah sub-district, including Cintamanik, Cinta, and Caringin. There were no fatalities in this flash flood, but five houses were affected by the flood and four access roads connecting villages in Karang Tengah District were impassable. "Currently, the floodwaters have receded, residents and joint officers from the Garut Resort Police, the National Armed Forces, and the Garut Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), a team of volunteers, and residents worked together to evacuate mud and stone materials carried by the flash flood. With this flood disaster, I urge residents always to be vigilant in anticipating subsequent flash floods, and I hope residents are reminded to evacuate immediately if the river water overflows," concluded the Garut Resort Police Chief. To note, in the review, it appears that the bridge in Kp. Chileles Village. Cinta village, Jungre Caringin village, Karangtengah district can only be passed by two wheeled vehicles, while for four wheeled vehicles, it cannot be because there are still materials for Banjir Bandang. Meanwhile, the Bojongsari Bridge is still unable to be passed by vehicles, both four wheeled and Two wheeled vehicles, because it is still filled with Foodwaters material. (sm/bq/hy)
