Buton Departmental Police declared 13 people as suspects of the burning of two houses that happened in Lasalimu Pantai village, South Lasalimu district, Buton regency, Southeast Sulawesi. Out of 13 suspects, four are not detained due to still being underage. "Our Criminal Investigation team has conducted an initial investigation, and we escalated it into advanced investigation and, out of 26 witnesses, 13 people are declared as suspects, and nine people have been detained", Chief of Buton Departmental Police, Police Grand Commissioner Gunarko, said on Monday (29/11/21). According to the Chief of Buton Departmental Police, the two houses and vehicles burning case is still being investigated, so it is possible that the suspect number would grow. Meanwhile, the Village Head of Lasalimu Pantai, which is still interrogated in the Buton Departmental Police, is still subjected to compulsory report. "There are still advanced investigations. The village head is subjected to a compulsory report. Let us wait for the investigation from the Criminal Investigation Agency", he said. The situation in Lasalimu Pantai village is still safe and conducive. Several security personnel guarded the village. "We put our personnel on standby there to anticipate unwanted things, but the situation is still controlled and conducive", he explained. Previously, there was a riot in Lasalimu Pantai village, South Lasalimu district, Buton regency, Southeast Sulawesi, on Monday (22/11/2021) at 19.30. Eighty police personnel are deployed to contain the situation in the Buton regency of Southeast Sulawesi. The riot was triggered by the loss of the Lasalimu village head in the land dispute in the Pasarwajo Court of Buton regency.
