inp.polri.go.id - West Java. In anticipation of the hoarding of 3 kg Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) cylinders, the West Java Regional Police Special Criminal Investigation Directorate have sent their team to patrol at the field.

The West Java Regional Police Public Relations Chief, Senior Superintendent Jules Abraham Abast, says that other than deploying their team, police had also coordinated with various parties, including Pertamina, to ensure the goods stock.

“We have coordinated with Pertamina to ensure the availability of the stocks,” says Jules on Wednesday (2/5/2025).

In his statement, he explains that currently there are no parties found hoarding the goods. His party will continue to monitor the situation to ensure the smooth distribution of 3 kg LPG to the people.

"We will continue to supervise and monitor in the field with the ranks of the police to prevent hoarding at the base or by individuals in the region," he explained.

For information, the new policy governing the purchase of 3kg LPG gas has been in effect since February 1, 2025. Based on the decision of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), the purchase of 3kg LPG gas can only be done through official Pertamina agents.
