Inp.polri.go.id - Manokwari. The Chief of West Papua Regional Police Inspector General Johnny Edizon Isir led the first morning roll call at the West Papua Police Headquarters on Monday (8/1/2024), addressing on the upcoming 2024 elections.
"Thank you all personnel in the jurisdiction of the West Papua Police for carrying out their duties with full dedication to the people of West Papua," he said.
In his remarks, Chief Johny highlighted some challenges that the police force will face in the near future.
"Firstly, securing the national event of the 2024 elections. We are currently conducting the 'Mantap Brata Mansinam 2024' operation, specifically for members carrying out security duties with honor. Execute it with integrity and loyalty. Each stage of the election must proceed safely and smoothly, ensuring a peaceful and conducive situation marked by ongoing community activities in various aspects," he explained.
"The current stage is the campaign, from the 21st to the 10th of February, and the media campaign. On the 11th, 12th, and 13th, it will be followed by the silent period," he added .
During the roll call, Chief Johny urged his subordinates to prepare both physically and mentally, emphasizing the importance of maintaining good health.
"All of you are the greatest assets in the eyes of the West Papua Police organization. There should be no deviation, abuse of authority, or criminal acts. This is the expectation and demand of the public," he asserted
