Inp.polri.go.id - Solok. The West Sumatra Regional Police deployed 300 officers to accelerate search, rescue, and clearance operations following flash floods that struck Solok Regency , at 8 pm local time on Monday.

West Sumatra Police Chief Inspector General Djati Wiyoto Abadhy confirmed the deployment during a direct field inspection in Solok on Tuesday (22/9/2026).

"The police force must provide maximum emergency response to this disaster, with the primary priority being the safety and security of residents," he said.

Specialized units from the Mobile Brigade (Brimob)  Unit and the Samapta Public Security Directorate joined Solok Sub-regional Police to evacuate victims and clear mud, rocks, and landslide debris severing the main Padang-Solok roadway, as reported by antaranews.com. 

Joint operations continue alongside search and rescue teams, the military, and the Disaster Management Agency (BPBD).
