inp.polri.go.id - Central Kalimantan. Intensive efforts to combat forest and land fires in the Tumbang Nusa area, Pulang Pisau Regency, Central Kalimantan, are beginning to bear fruit.

Central Kalimantan Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Iwan Kurniawan, stated that most of the hotspots in the area have been contained in the past few days. However, several hotspots still require serious attention.

The Tumbang Nusa area has been a focus of attention in forest and land fire management in Central Kalimantan.

Various measures are being taken to prevent the fires from spreading again. One of these is the construction of the approximately five-kilometer-long Medson Canal, stretching from Poros Tengah Road to the Kahayan River.

The construction of this canal is part of the forest and land fire control efforts in the Tumbang Nusa area and also supports the management of remaining hotspots.

With continued intensive management, the forest and land fire situation in Tumbang Nusa is now gradually under control. Authorities, along with relevant parties, continue to monitor and manage the fires in the field to ensure they do not spread again.
