Inp.polri.go.id - Timika. Yahukimo Regent Didimus Yahuli has strongly refuted claims that members of the Indonesian Military (TNI) or the Indonesian National Police (INP) are serving as teachers and healthcare workers in the region.

"I firmly deny the allegations that teachers and healthcare workers assigned in Yahukimo, particularly in Anggruk District, are from TNI/ or NP," he said in a press release on Monday (23/3/2025). 

Didimus emphasized that the recruitment process for teachers and medical personnel in Yahukimo is transparent and publicly known, with all appointees signing agreements and receiving prayers from pastors.

"If anyone claims otherwise, they should present concrete evidence," he added, as quoted by antaranews.com. 

Since 2021, Yahukimo has recruited teachers to prepare future generations for global challenges. Didimus also confirmed that all educators meet strict criteria, including being Christian and holding at least a bachelor's degree. 

He assured that the circulating rumors about military or police personnel acting as teachers are entirely false.  His statement follows a recent attack of the armed assailants that killed a teacher in Anggruk and injured six others.
