inp.polri.go.id - Padang. The West Sumatra Regional Police has successfully identified 12 victims who died in a fatal accident that occurred at Busur Terminal, Padang Panjang City.
"There are a total of 12 bodies at the Padang Panjang City Hospital and they have been identified," said Padang Panjang Sub-regional City Police Chief, Superintendent Kartyana Widyarso in Padang Panjang City, Tuesday (5/6/2025).
Kartyana said the 12 bodies that were successfully identified by the Disaster Victim Identification (DVI) team were Rema Andini Pane (1.5), Naufal Rehan Pane (6), Riski Agustini Lubis (32), Melaiki Sinaga (74), Karmina Gultam (74) and Sarudin Nainggolan (74). Next, Desrita Nainggolan (50), Sri Rejeki (38), Romaida Sitanggang (74), Etrick Gustaf Wenas (26), Aryudi (38) and Atas Silaen (30).
Kartyana said that as of 17.00 pm, representatives of three families of the deceased had arrived at Padang Panjang City Hospital to pick up their relatives who were also victims of the fatal ALS bus accident to Bekasi.
"There are still possible families of the victims who will come to the Padang Panjang City Hospital to pick up the bodies," he said.
Meanwhile, Head of the Sub-Directorate of Medical and Health Police of the West Sumatra Regional Police, dr. Eka Purnama Sari, said that officers had no difficulty in identifying the victims because their conditions were still recognizable, including through identity cards and belongings.
"10 bodies were identified through fingerprints, while the other two were from medical data and property that we obtained information from the family's antem mortem data," explained Dr. Eka.
Eka said that the West Sumatra Regional Police DVI team together with related agencies had handed over three bodies to each victim's family, two of whom were male and one female.
"The three bodies were picked up by the family and will be taken to their home areas in Medan, North Sumatra," he said.
