Inp.polri.go.id - Trenggalek. Sixty overweight officers from Trenggalek Sub-regional Police in East Java successfully completed a special weight-loss program, achieving significant results.
“Fifty participants met their targets, with 19 reaching their ideal weight,” said Trenggalek Police Chief Superintendent Indra Ranu Dikarta on Monday (6/1/2025) during a recognition ceremony.
The program included BMI assessments, physical activities like walking and running, and healthy eating guidelines, held twice weekly.
“This program was tailored to each participant’s capacity to avoid injuries,” he added, according to antaranews.com.
Aimed at improving officers' fitness and readiness for complex duties, the initiative also sought to mitigate obesity-related health risks such as heart disease and hypertension.
Medical monitoring was conducted by Trenggalek Police’s Health Unit and Bhayangkara Pratama Clinic.
