Inp.polri.go.id - Serang.  The Banten Regional Police have arrested two additional suspects in the extortion case involving the Rp 5 trillion Chandra Asri Alkali (CAA) plant construction project, which implicates members of the Cilegon Chamber of Commerce (Kadin) and several mass organizations.

Banten Polic confirmed on Monday (9/6/2025) the detention of Zul Basit (44), the Chairman of LSM Banten Monitoring Perindustrian dan Perdagangan (BMPP), and Isbatullah Alibasja (43), the Deputy Chair of Kadin Cilegon.

“They have both been named suspects,” said Senior Inspector Endang Sugiarto, as quoted by antaranews.com

He added that the case is undergoing further investigation, and prosecution documents related to Kadin have been submitted to the Cilegon prosecutor’s office.

Three police officers are also under questioning—not as suspects, but for clarification purposes. The inquiry aims to determine whether Kadin's actions were conducted without proper permits or notifications to authorities, which police believe is the case.

The police has earlier named three suspects in the case:  Muhammad Salim, the Chairman of Kadin Cilegon, Ismatullah the Kadin Cilegon’s Head of Division, and Rufaji Jahuri, the Chairman of HNSI.
