Inp.polri.go.id - Timika. The Damai Cartenz Task Force has captured a 20-year-old man identified Artis or his initials A.K., an alleged member of an Armed Criminal Group (KKB) in Ilaga.
"We have apprehended one KKB member in Ilaga by the name of A.K, alias Artis (20), a male residing in Manggume Village, Pomukia District, Puncak Regency," said the Public Relations Head of the Damai Cartenz Task Force 2023, Superintendent Dr. Bayu Suseno, as quoted by antaranews.com as sayingon Sunday (24/9/2023).
The task force seized several pieces of evidence, including 1 small bag, 3 beaded necklaces, 1 beverage bottle, 1 Oppo brand mobile phone, 1 utility knife, 1 iron necklace, and 1 yellow toy necklace.
"Based on the examination, the role of brother AK included the arson of civilian houses and PT Unggul's basecamp on May 23, 2023, and the second role involved the burning of SMA Negeri 1 Ilaga on August 17, 2023," the spokesperson said.
Head of the Damai Cartenz Task Force, Senior Superintendent Dr. Faizal Ramadhani added that currently, the suspect continued to undergo examination at the Puncak Police Station. Meanwhile, the Damai Cartenz OperationTask Force will continue to enforce the law against the KKB and its supporters.
"We will continue to enforce the law against the KKB and its supporters to achieve a better security situation in Papua," he said.
