Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Central Jakarta Metropolitan Sub-regional Police Chief Senior Superintendent Susatyo Purnomo Condro confirmed that no protesters were detained during a demonstration at the Arjuna Horse Statue area near the National Monument (Monas) on Friday (21/2/2025).

"The protest proceeded without any arrests," he said, as quoted by antaranews.com.

The rally, organized by various community alliances, remained largely peaceful despite several provocation attempts. Some demonstrators ignited firecrackers, threw objects at officers, and attempted to burn plastic road barriers. However, police officers maintained composure and did not respond to the provocations.

Security forces had been deployed to monitor and safeguard the demonstration. By 7 pm, the majority of the protesters dispersed in an orderly manner.

Earlier in the evening, some masked participants escalated tensions by directing fireworks at officers and attempting to breach police lines. The protest officially ended after field coordinators urged the crowd to withdraw peacefully.
