inp.polri.go.id - Bandung. As a support to the food security program, personnel of Cimahi Sub-regional Police Community Development Unit have changed a 140,000 square meters of land to be a vegetable garden.
Member of the unit, Brigadier Ramdan has decided to plant corn and others at his backyard in Ngamprah District, West Bandung Regency.
Head of Cimahi Sub-regional Police Chief, Superintendent Tri Suhartanto states that planting vegetable seeds on unused lands not only assists the local food security, but also enables locals in managing natural resources continuously.
Tri added, this step is in line with the government's efforts to encourage people to be more independent in meeting food needs.
"By utilizing unused land, we can boost food production and at the same time improve people's welfare," he said on Wednesday (1/8/2025)
Tri hoped that others would follow the step of Ramdan in utilizing unused lands
