Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesia’s new national football coach, Patrick Kluivert, has set a goal of earning four points from the upcoming World Cup 2026 qualifiers against Australia and Bahrain in March.
"We aim to secure one point away against Australia and three points at home against Bahrain," he said at a press conference in Jakarta on Sunday (12/1/2025).
With just four matches remaining in the qualifiers, Coach Kluivert sees these games as pivotal for Indonesia’s chances of advancing, either directly to the World Cup, to the fourth round, or facing elimination.
“These are crucial matches for us, like finals that we must win,” he added, emphasizing the need for team unity and focus.
Looking ahead, Coach Kluivert also outlined his long-term goals, including qualifying for the 2028 Olympics and the 2030 World Cup, in addition to making a strong impact in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
