Gorontalo Immigration Office Deported Five Chinese for Gold Mining Ilegally

inp.polri.go.id - Gorontalo. The Gorontalo Immigration Office deported five foreign nationals (WNA) from China for carrying out activities in a gold mining area without a permit in Pohowato Regency, Gorontalo Province.

Head of the Gorontalo Immigration Office Gelora Adil Ginting said that according to the travel documents he had, the five WNA were AL, YY, XW, PH, and HZ.

"The immigration administrative action was given after field supervision efforts were previously carried out on May 12, 2025 as a follow-up to reports of alleged immigration violations received by the Gorontalo Immigration Office from the Foreigner Supervision Team (TIMPORA), the public and the media," he said in Gorontalo, Wednesday (5/21/2025).

He explained that in accordance with their duties and functions, TIMPORA members provide advice and considerations to relevant government agencies and/or institutions regarding matters relating to the supervision of foreigners.

Furthermore, he said, the team followed up on the results of coordination between agencies and/or government institutions related to immigration supervision, as well as data and information collection, immigration violations have been found that can be fixed quickly and easily.

"During the immigration inspection process, the five foreigners in question have provided information cooperatively and have not avoided the implementation of immigration supervision," said Gelora.

Several facts obtained from the results of the inspection are that the five foreigners entered Indonesian territory legally through Sam Ratulangi International Airport Manado, using valid and valid travel documents, having visas with index C2 sponsored by PT. Guanhuat Sukses Abadi, being and carrying out activities in the illegal gold mining area (PETI) and other facts.
